Terms of Service
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This is a working draft prepared as a starting point for ThirdMoney's legal team and counsel to review, localize per operating country, and finalize — it is not yet final legal text.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating a ThirdMoney account or otherwise using our wallet, payment, savings, fundraising, or merchant services (the "Service"), operated by Thirdsan Enterprises ("ThirdMoney", "we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What ThirdMoney provides
ThirdMoney is a digital wallet platform that lets you hold balances in one or more supported currencies and:
- Send money to and receive money from other ThirdMoney users instantly, at no fee between accounts.
- Deposit funds via mobile money, card, bank transfer, or manually-verified proof of payment, depending on what's available in your country.
- Withdraw funds to a mobile money account or bank account, subject to review and processing time.
- Join or create Savings Groups with other users, and create or contribute to Fundraising Campaigns.
- Register a Business (Merchant) account, subject to identity and business verification and our approval, to accept payments from other ThirdMoney users via our API.
Not every feature, currency, or payment method is available in every country. We may add, change, or discontinue features, currencies, or payment methods at any time.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be able to form a binding contract in your country of residence to use ThirdMoney, and you must provide accurate information — including a phone number you control — to register. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials, transaction PIN, and device secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Identity verification (KYC)
We're required, and choose, to verify who our users are. Depending on your activity and country, we may ask you to submit identity documents (such as a national ID or passport) and, for Business accounts, additional documents such as a business registration certificate. We review submissions and may approve, reject, or request more information. Some features — including higher transaction limits and Merchant/API access — are only available once verification is complete and approved.
5. Fees
Sending money between ThirdMoney users is currently free. Deposits, withdrawals, and payments made through third-party payment processors or mobile money operators may carry a fee, shown to you before you confirm the transaction. We may introduce, change, or remove fees for any part of the Service; where required by law, we'll give you notice before a fee change takes effect for you.
6. Deposits and withdrawals
Deposits made through a supported payment processor or mobile money operator are credited once we've independently verified the payment with that provider — a webhook or confirmation screen alone is never treated as sufficient proof by itself. Deposits submitted with manual proof of payment (a receipt or screenshot) are reviewed and credited by our team, typically within the timeframe shown in the app; submitting false or altered proof of payment is a serious violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension and being reported to relevant authorities. Withdrawals are subject to review before funds are released and may be delayed or declined if we suspect fraud, error, or a violation of these Terms.
7. Prohibited uses
You agree not to use ThirdMoney for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other illegal purpose; to evade tax, sanctions, or other legal obligations; to send money you don't have a lawful right to send; to circumvent our verification, fee, or transaction-limit systems; or to interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service. We monitor transactions for signs of this kind of activity and may freeze funds, decline transactions, suspend accounts, and report activity to regulators or law enforcement where required or where we reasonably believe it's warranted.
8. Savings Groups and Fundraising Campaigns
Savings Groups and Fundraising Campaigns are created by users, for other users. ThirdMoney reviews campaigns before they go live and reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove any group or campaign, but we don't guarantee the purpose, legitimacy, or outcome of any group or campaign a user creates, and we are not a party to the arrangement between group members or between a campaign creator and its contributors.
9. Business (Merchant) accounts and the API
Business accounts and API access are subject to identity verification, business verification, and our approval, and can be suspended or revoked if we believe they're being misused, if verification information turns out to be false, or if required by a change in law in your country. You're responsible for how you use your API credentials and for keeping them confidential — never share your API secret. You're responsible for your own compliance obligations toward your own customers.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, provided false information, engaged in prohibited activity, or if required to by law or by a payment partner. You can close your account at any time by contacting support, subject to settling any pending transactions and any funds held for regulatory or dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThirdMoney is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or for delays or failures caused by third-party payment processors, mobile network operators, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country.
12. Governing law
[To be finalized per operating entity and country as ThirdMoney expands — the applicable law and dispute resolution forum will be specified here once confirmed by counsel for each jurisdiction we operate in.]
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll notify you in the app or by another reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use ThirdMoney after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through the Support section of the app, or to the contact details published on our website.
